How To Make A Kite.

Cute Origami Project.

Whom of us doesn't love getting good gifts? The only problem is, what do you do with all that left-over wrapping paper?

For those of us with a passion for recycling and making less of a negative impact on our environment, here are fifteen - plus one - great tips on how to reuse all of that old gift-wrapping paper:

1.) Use it to make original and one-of-a-kind thank you notes to distribute to the gift givers.

2.) Use it to make cute school-book covers for your kids (check this link out for the simple steps http://www.ehow.com/how_4798777_make-book-covers.html).

3.) Use it to make original bookmarks ( any easy 11 step technique http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Bookmark).

4.) Use it in your fun origami projects.

5.) Use it in your paper mache' projects.

6.) Line your bird cages with it - you'll have the prettiest bird cage in the neighborhood.

7.) Throw a wrapping paper swap party (very much like a swap meet, just with your close friends and all sorts of edible goodies).

8.) Use it for your arts and crafts.

9.) Donate it to your local arts and craft store (places like Joann's, Micheal's, and AC-Moore offer art classes and can always use extra supplies).

10.) Donate it to your child's school for their many arts and craft projects.

11.) Decoupage old glassware or use it in other decoupage projects (try it with these easy steps http://www.ehow.com/how_1336_decoupage.html).

Decoupage Art Work.

12.) Re-wrap other gifts (with a collage of wrapping scraps).

13.) Make unique gift tags for other presents.

14.) Make paper hats, airplanes, and boats.

15.) Depending on the weight of the paper, use it to make a (mini or regular size) kite (the lighter wrapping paper is great for box kites).

16.) For those looking for cheap artwork to hang; using shoe-boxes varying in sizes and shapes:

1.) wrap them with the used paper

2.) secure paper with staples and...

Voila! - You've got yourself some inexpensive, yet great hanging artwork!

So with a little creativity and ingenuity, you too can come up with some great recycling tips for your old gift-wrapping paper.

Thanks creativeone59, I've had this problem before and had to find some ways to use it instead of just contributing to the landfill.

I think it is so good to try to find new ways to reuse items instead of throwing them away initially. Thank you travelespresso for stopping by and leaving a comment.
